Vogue Magazine teamed up with Vertu (leading pioneer of Luxudy Mobile Phones) to bring “a unique event where you can see and hear some of the biggest names in the fashion industry, including international designers, models, photographers, broadcasters and journalists.”
Unlike exclusive fashion events, anyone can purchase a ticket (£75 per session) for Vogue Festival to join and mingle with the top leading fashion personalities including Christopher Bailey of Burberry, Tom Ford, Christopher Cane, Stella McCartney, Diane von Furstenberg, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, Matthew Williamson, British model turned actress Lily Cole, and Celebrity Fashion stylist, Rachel Zoe — just to mention a few.
The first edition of the Vogue Festival in London took place at the Royal Geographical Society. Italian designer-duo, Mr. Domenico Dolce and Mr. Stefano Gabbana joined Mrs. Alexandra Shulman, Editor in Chief of British Vogue to talk about the three main themes of their lives: Love, Family and Italian spirit.
Can you imagine how inspiring that would be? Hearing a panel of famous and successful people, that inspire you as a child and continuing to inspire you up to these days, talk about their inspirations, their success stories and what brought them to where they are now. I’ve always been very intrigued by how timid designers can be. That split second bow at the end of every show is never enough to feed my fascination about them. I think the Vogue Festival is an new and exciting way for designers to connect with their fans and avid followers in a more intimate way.
The Vogue Festival runs from April 20th – 21st, somebody needs to teleport me to London right now — just saying. You can visit the official Vogue Festival website to find out more info. It’s new and exciting
