I’ve always been a big fan of Public School, and although I haven’t been very vocal about it, my admiration for the brand just grew ten times bigger this season. As the winner of 2013 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund and the receiver of the $300k grand prize, Public School did not disappoint, presenting its strongest collection to date. The line also debuted its first collection to include womenswear — which is heavily inspired by menswear. Tomboy chic so to speak — loose silhouette with an edgy attitude. It’s also great to see the wide brim hat making a come back this season, but the incorporation of harnesses in the styling was for me, the icing on a very delicious cake.
