The Fox was a fixture in Mount Pleasant (East Vancouver) and the last 35mm porno theatre in North America. In 2013, the Arrival Agency began transforming the space into a venue for arts, culture, and entertainment.

My boyfriend, Zach and I attended the soft-launch party on Feb. 28th, and we surely had a lot of fun. The open house celebration featured DJs, live performance, stunning visuals, and a lively crowd.

Needless to say, I danced my ass off until I couldn’t feel my legs anymore. I truly enjoyed the music they had playing and I think a few sip of my boire pour la nuit might have something to do with my Dancing-Queen status that night.

While the space is not fully completed yet—the upstairs cocktail bar will be finished later this month—the group is excited to get going on the project, which has been over a year in the making.

On our way out, we walked by this silver-y covered/painted corner where one can have a sick photo-op. And as per usual, who can say no to that. To my surprise, I even got my boyfriend to join the fun!

The Fox Cabaret is an exciting new hub, a central part of the cultural life in Vancouver and its community.
