I got my first roll of film developed the other day. Much to my surprise, the images turned out pretty well. It’s been literally ages since the last time I shot in film — way way back in high school, and it’s very refreshing to get back to it.
I must admit, while pre-occupied shooting digital with my NIKON D5000, and only having experience with film in high school, I’ve written off film photography as inconvenient, slow, less efficient, and expensive. I can not be more glad to find out that I’m absolutely wrong.
It’s always nice to help preserve a traditional way of capturing moments. Film photography is super fun. Developing/Printing doesn’t cost much and the thrill and excitement of sending off your film for processing, and then getting them back as tangible images is priceless.
