(212) showcased their Fall/Winter 2011/2012 collection last Thursday night at the Montauk Sofa in Gastown and I was there to check out what they have for us this season.
Classic silky black, grays and cream served, not only as the base, but also became the foundation of the collection when the rich colors were introduced. Cobalt blue, rich purples and emerald green dominated the runway as rusty red and pale forest green took the back seat.
The clothes are form fitting, elegant and youthful with a hint of fun here and there. The sophistication of New York City fused with the laid back styling of Vancouver is very evident, creating a dynamic mixture that can’t be ignored. Dresses, tunics, skirts, wide legged trousers and cardigans, all in which can be easily mixed-n-matched into an outfit.
…and like any other fashion shows, there’s always that happening and rush backstage and I wasn’t going to miss it this time. I was granted a backstage pass to go upstairs and document the preparation and the people behind the show.

Make up station backstage/upstairs (Boyfriend brows, Highlight,Soft Contour no blush, soft dewy tinted lip balm).
Right after the show, we headed out to the after party which was held at a different venue. HouseGuest hosted the fashion-studded-crowd with complimentary drinks and assorted meat, cheese and veggie platter (which is by the way, one of the highlights of the evening).
The show/event was well put together, although the venue was a bit crowded for the amount of people that came out, it only means the show was a success. Personally, I had fun. There’s nothing like Fashion + Friends + Dressing up + Booze to pump up a Thursday night.
