USED: House of Vintage

- shopping, Stories

One of my favorite vintage shops, USED: House of Vintage, is launching its flagship store in one of North America’s major shopping destinations, Vancouver’s infamous Robson Street.

I have been a big USED fan since one of my best friends introduced me to their first location on Granville street few years back. In fact, I didn’t really know what ‘vintage shops’ were prior to discovering USED. Pass forward to today, a lot of my most treasured pieces which have been featured on this blog numerous times, were vintage finds I collected over the years from shopping at USED.

Approximately five times bigger than its store on Granville St., USED’s flagship store is situated right beside BEBE (across Roots Canada). The exterior is hard to miss — walls are painted in zebra print, stairs covered in red carpet with gold accents on the railings and door frames. Upon walking in, you will be greeted by an overwhelming amount of inventory — well curated and beautifully merchandised. The store is decorated with a mixture of antique decors and memorabilia, lots fascinating objects including a collection of original Andy Warhol paintings.

USED is easily one the best vintage shops in Canada, if not, in the whole world, and I’m sure celebrity-clients like Lykke Li, Robyn, The Kills, Feist, and Austra will gladly agree.

Don’t forget to swing by later today, December 15th, from 9-11pm for USED’s official launch party featuring a fashion show at 10pm and an after party at the Waldorf Hotel.

I hope to see you all there!

PS: And for my readers outside Canada — if you ever happen to visit Vancouver, don’t miss to check out USED for a great vintage shopping experience.
