The Room at the Bay is host to the Thierry Mugler Retrospective exhibit, launched on Tuesday night in Vancouver. Imagine standing right in the middle of legendary Thierry Mugler couture dresses, unarchived from the Mugler house — made, sewn, beaded and pieced together before I was even born. It was an absolute fashion-dream coming true. And to top that off, I had the pleasure of meeting the Mugler boys: creative director Nicola Formichetti and womenswear designer Sébastien Peigné, as they preview MUGLER’s Spring/Summer 2013 collection.

If you’re in the city this weekend, pop by The Room and check out the exhibit (which runs until Nov. 12th). I can guarantee you will be blown away, there’s nothing quite like seeing out-of-this-world dresses dating back in the early ’80s.
