If there is something i love doing in the morning, it would be accessorizing. You can wear the most basic and plain piece of clothing but still make a statement by accessorizing.

It has to be done carefully though, or you’d look like a christmas tree or an accessory rack from Target.

Normally I’d say, limit yourself to 3 piece of accessories, but in here I’m using 6

but you can see how the grouping works

and clearly the pocket square is the loud talker, then next is the belt, then everything else serves as a backdrop..

Clothing wise though, I was wearing a plain white tshirt, jeans that I got from my girl friend/room mate, basic back blazer and a nude shoes.. very plain when it comes to color pallets and detailing SO IT IS THE PERFECT opportunity for me to go crazy with the accessory.

As promised from my previous post (Her Trash, My new Clothes), this is the blouse I got from my room mate which she was supposed to throw into the “donation bin.”  The material is made out of cotton-jersey so i has a bit of a drape — which i love by the way — and I thought I could turn it into something I can still wear and rock with the rest of my wardrobe.

It was fast and very easy, and very messy job, but it was intended to be casually cut and trimmed so the more uneven and messy the edges are, the better.

I had a lot of fun styling it but I thought the texture on this faux-fur scarf is amazing with the fabric.  I had a little trouble taking a photo of it from the mirror because I had to use my other hand, and God knows how heavy Nikon DSLR cameras are.

And like any other DIY i’ve done, there’s always that clean up time aftermath which explains the photo below.

So there you go, I hope you guys enjoy it and let me know what you think.  I shall be posting more looks where I used this tank top soon.

This blouse is made of cotton-jersey so it has that light drape in its fabric — I am thinking to maybe turn it into a tank top, to wear under a coat or a blazer (with scarf) during winter — and it’ll be a comfortable piece during the summer.  I will post it as soon as I get it done.

For some weird reason, I don’t own any distressed denim jeans.  I own only few denim jeans, and they are all dressy-dark-washed.  Well actually I used to own some back in high school, my NOT-VERY-FASHIONABLE days when I wear track suits and would parade in Abercrombie&Fitch; I gave them all away to my younger cousins though leaving me with nothing.  This newly acquired jeans however fits well, the waist is still too big but that’s what belts are for.

This last one is a lovely sleepwear — I know it’s girly and all with its pink silk ribbon and ruffles, but meehh.. it’s a sleepwear, and I can sure rip those ‘girly stuff’ out.  As long as it’s comfortable, it shouldn’t really matter to me.  However, I am planning on hemming it to get rid of the ruffles, and of course the silk pink ribbon needs to go.

So there you go, I hope you guys enjoy this post — it’s just awesome that I spent nothing on these clothes and I’m excited in incorporating them to my new looks.  I highly recommend you guys sorting through your friends/parents/your own “to-be-trashed/donated” bins before getting rid of them — it’s saves  you a lot of money and it’s also good for the environment.

I moved out 3 days ago and until now, my stuff are still a big pile of mess.  We (2 flat mates and I) only had a day off all together today, so we managed to clear up majority of the job to be done.  I HAVE NEVER THOUGHT that moving is/was this hard.  Everything was on the floor, there wasn’t even any space to move, boxes everywhere — and to top that off, there’s no WIFI either.  I have also been working 5days in a row, giving me no time to do any cleaning up and organizing.

I haven’t had a goodnight sleep since we move in to the new place because I don’t have a bed yet — and I slept on the floor with my blanket, WHICH gave me a back and neck pain the next morning.

But moving out isn’t all that bad.  The photo below is the view I have behind my glass wall.  It’s absolutely breath-taking and very different to what I am used to at home.

These next photos however are taken inside the loft.   

So those are a little preview of what our new place looks like.  I shall be posting more photos soon.

We finished up setting the kitchen today and the living room, so the only things left to do are our own individual belonging.  My clothes are still yet to be sorted out and organized but I am getting there.  I am so sorry for my lack of blog and photo entry lately, but don’t worry, I have a lot of little surprise to all my followers and readers as soon as I’m all settled in.  Like I mentioned earlier, we still don’t have an Internet connection and I have been having a very busy schedule.  I just finished doing another intern project (which is due today) and it’s almost 4am. I *right at this very moment* am staying at some local cafe with wifi so I can send my work to my boss.

PS: The swiss guy (I blogged about here) who I went out with on a date a week ago works at the coffee shop I am in right now.

Here are some photos taken while we’re catching up with our fashion chats on a summer days (which is about to be over pretty soon, sad i know)

I was wearing my Dad’s ultra-oversized vintage Ralph Lauren polo shirt. It’s hilarious how gigantic it is on me… (not to mention my dad is almost the same height as me… but yah know, I don’t think we reviewed “proper fitting” together).. He hasn’t been wearing it for ages, and I love that the collar is narrow and skinny, so it would still look good if you hide all those extra fabric under a blazer. Now I know it is horrible and I’m not saying that guys should be going around wearing super baggy dress shirt — but in this case, I paired it up with a slim-high-waist-pleated trousers which created balance.

FUNNY STORY about this BROOCH.  This came from a wool long coat but some costumer (very masculine dude) didn’t want it on the coat, so he took them off when buying it.  My manager however kept it and gave it to me, which is very sweet i think.  He knows I like tiny little presents like these.  Honestly though, I considered buying the wool coat even if it was too big just so I can have this brooch (i know i’m silly like that)

and this is my lovely friend Nicole, who i run to when i have rants about people’s fashion faux-paus or when I wanna talk Fashion and i need someone to listen OR when i just want a photo of me taken, but seriously — Nicole is one of my super good friend, you know, those friend you want to keep forever — even after you get fat, have a baby, have a family (I’m just throwing random things there now).

Look at all THESE goodies… crazy! If i were to wear all of these, and I happen to loose one, I probably wouldn’t even notice (but then again, that’s just me)

and these gorgeous ruffled shorts — I told her I’d love to barrow this one day (that was half-meant. lol)

And the we managed to snatched some random couple on the street to take our photos. I just wish my hair doesn’t look as flat and dead — but then again, it’s good to change it up a little bit every once in a while.

But then we wanted more photos so I decided to do my self-photography trick and whipped out my phone and made it into a small platform/tripod.

Sorry for the late update, I’ve been crazy busy lately and I’m supposed to be all packed ready to move today but I haven’t done anything. I’m still working on a video lookbook of this outfit, it’s gotten pretty HYPED @ lookbook.nu — you guys should check it out!

I love school, not JUST because of learning but also, it’s another reason to be well-dressed. It is a place to learn and to look professional and neat (atleast to me)

This photo symbolizes a big future ahead. I’m ready to see what’s out there, yes there will be darkness but like this photo, there are lights all over and a wide horizon ready for me to explore.

The biggest change in my life will happen within the next few days. I AM MOVING OUT of home. You know that feeling when you go to a school trip where you will be away from home for a couple of days or so — or that time when you attended a band camp/band trip — it’s the exact the same feeling, except that this will be for a longer period of time or even maybe forever, who knows. I love my family and i love being with them, but i need to grow and this decision will help me do that.

as expected, it will be a big challenge for me and i am well aware of that, I’m taking it all in and I’m ready! I am just very excited now of what life has in store for me. Everything seems to be going into the right places lately and lots of opportunities and doors are slowly opening up. This is it! I’m in the very middle of journey, and I am just stoked to see where to go next and how far I can go.
