Oh My! The fashion industry is filled with new and great happenings this week. H&M is known to have been one of the biggest fashion retailers in the world, bridging the gap between high fashion and retail. The Swedish retai giant produced its own show crashing Paris Fashion Week, with celebrity-attendees like Ashley Olsen, Emma Roberts and Chloë Moretz, as well as fashion industry heavy-hitters like Carine Roitfeld and Vogue’s Hamish Bowles.
We were in awe when H&M started doing collaboration with high-fashion designers; a bold move that followed a series of designer collaborations that the masses enjoyed and embraced. As the idea of designer collaboration wears out, H&M sure found a new and exciting alley to explore — producing a fashion show, in a magnificent venue, completely decorated to be your perfect Parisian apartment. Although this isn’t the first time H&M has done a fashion show, (they did on 8 years ago for their signature collection), I do hope it will be a new trend in the fast-fashion industry. It’s nice to see clothes on the runway, and be able to see it hit the store, and finally own them without spending an arm and a leg.
