You may remember me posting about AVEDA Institute’s Born To Style Scholarship Contest sometime last February. Among hundreds of 2-minute-long videos submitted explaining why each participant were born to style, four finalists were chosen to compete for a full scholarship to the AVEDA Institute.
VIP guests were invited to witness the final showdown on Monday, April 29th. The four finalist: Brittany MacLeod, Lauren McCoy, Regan Richart, and Bobbi-Jo Cronk went head to head in a runway competition showcasing their skills and versatility at ready-to-wear looks and couture styling – with clothing provided by FATE Vintage and make up by AVEDA make up artists.
Judges Ray Civello, CEO of AVEDA Canada; Marta Murray, Creative Director of AVEDA West; and Anya Georgijevic, Western Correspondent of Flare Magazine and Beauty Editor of Vitamin Daily, scored contestants on complexity, skill and how well their inspiration translated on the models. After a tough deliberation, the judges’ scores were tallied and Bobbi-Jo Cronk was announced as the winner of a full tuition scholarship to the AVEDA Institute Vancouver valued at just over $10,000.
