I thought this photo doesn’t do the megging-trend a justice. The concept is clearly to be androgynous and stay fashionable but this to me looks like 2 different concepts miss-matched together. The top part doesn’t quiet connect with the bottom half of the outfit..
that jacket and that plaid shirt? REALLY? I would totally loose these 2 elements for a quick fix…
JUST SAYING.
here’s are some lovely guys I found online sporting the trend fabulously.
I want this for Spring/Summer10. I had a tortoise Wayfarer and the Classic aviator but someone stole them at work… YES, both of them, gone! and just because I couldn’t afford to buy a new set, I just re-bought the wayfarer… it’s the one i often use anyways.
Yes my fellow fashionistos and fashionistas… the ever talented Canadian duo behind the label that introduced Camp-chic to us, Dean and Dan Caten, are coming to the city to promote a limited-edition brushed cotton fleece hoodie retails for $350 *cachingg* exclusively sold @ HoltRenfew. The even will be on Saturday February 13, 2010

I went shopping @ ValueVillage today with Devon and Anna (friends from school) and I was overwhelmed. I didn’t know such place existed. It was very exhausting though because that place was huge, I will need a day or two to browse the whole store. Regardless, I managed to find few items and their staff were very nice and friendly =D
I got all this junk for $110 + dry cleaning which I’m guessing will worth more than what it cost me to get them.
As much as I love my Nikon D5000 digital SLR camera, I hate it when I ask my friends to take my photo and they don’t know how to operate it. I mean, can’t blame them because it’s not their fault that the camera is way too complex than a typical digital camera. Anyhow, as blurred and out of focus the shots were as it is, I thought the shot were still pretty interesting.
So this is the look I was wearing today. DIY pinned bowtie, plain gray button up shirt, blazer, trouser, and this lovely scarf.
Me and my friend Anna stroll around North Vancouver, hopped on a sea bus and walked around downtown Vancouver. We ‘did’ homework in the library took more photos.
look at what I found. some guy online (littlejoco) uses my photo as his twitter page background. lovely. very flattering to see people appreciate your art.
PS. I just realized the photo looks good as a background.
“When a woman layers heavily, with too many patterns, colors, and textures, she can look, well…a little extreme. But when it comes to an Italian guy, it’s part of his DNA.”
It has become my daily web routine to check out TheSartorialist where I found this image shot by the Sartorialist himself, Scott Schuman
I wonder why Tommy Ton has to cut off the photo above when editing… JUST SAYING.
This season is yet again, dedicated to what Burberry is well known for, outerwear. Furry boots, military trench, big and bulky jacket with exaggerated collar. Also, notice the new silhouette of boots and trouser combo, the carried over denim shirt (from last season’s D&G) only this time they made it appear dressier paired up with a clean and non-distressed trouser.
Did you notice the absence of the classic Burberry signature check? or how minimal the accessorizing this season is?
I love the unnecessary added straps on the sleeves and the military buttons overload on both the coat’s cuffs and shoulder, I thought it was a witty approach.
although I thought Burberry’s Fall/Winter09 collection is stronger, It is a breath of fresh air for Christopher Bailey to dress down a little, trading dress shoes for furry boots, and well fitted traditional coat into a more looser version with exaggerated collar. This season almost has that Modern British with a Russian twist feel to it. The collection shifted into a dressier concept in the middle carrying over key elements from the first half of the show, like the thick belts and thick winter jackets.
I also love the idea of adding key colors to accent the whole collection and give it more depth. Like the addition of mustard-y yellow and forest-army green.
I'm just another Fashion misfits trying hard to belong. I live in Vancouver where XXS is still too big and a size 5 mens shoes is unheard of;
but that never stopped me. I cut, bead, glue, paint and sew things together and strut around downtown wearing head-turning-eyebrow-raising outfits.
